I pretty apt WoW, methinks. Today, while playing badminton with my old friend Anna, the left knee temporarily (thank god) dislocated, thirty minutes into our booked hour session. 'Twas fairly uncomfortable, and after a couple of tentative attempts to begin playing again it was apparent that it was game over for us. So then we came back to our neck of the woods, and later in the evening I went for a band rehearsal and destroyed two of the fingertips of my left hand. I got a blister on my right index-finger as well, but that's just to be expected when one's playing at these kinds of speeds. The left hand fingertips, though - they're something else. Two songs in particular are the main culprits. One whereby I slap and pop the strings for most of the time, and another in which I walk up and down the strings for half of the song, and then run up and down them for the rest. But at least I haven't dislocated any of my fingers yet, playing any kind of musical instrument. That's something.
